Bio
Brenna’s art emerges from a deep fascination with the human brain’s innate storytelling power and the origins of symbolic communication. She explores how, across time, our minds have grasped and crafted symbols to shape reality, passing stories from generation to generation. Her work reflects humanity's instinctual need to create, evolving organically from our earliest symbols and images into something profoundly expressive.
Through a fusion of abstract symbology and asemic writing, Brenna opens the door to an ambiguous visual language. Her practice balances objective symbol-making with fluid, non-representational forms, inviting viewers to question and connect without fixed meaning. She considers the act of loosening language from rigid definitions an exercise in freedom, a way to let go of the constraints of conventional language and embrace the subconscious.
Her work is both a tribute to and a reimagining of the primal, timeless urge to narrate and communicate. Inspired by the evolution of human storytelling, Brenna’s pieces transcend language, inviting each viewer to interpret and discover their own meanings. Through these layers of symbolism, she seeks to connect with the viewer’s intuitive creativity, awakening a deep-seated recognition of our shared human journey.
